About this adventure

Experience the raw beauty of the Australian outback with the Mt Ive Station Trail Ride Away. Based at the iconic Mt Ive Station in the Gawler Ranges, this adventure takes SXS Club members on an epic guided trail ride through remote station tracks and rugged landscapes, culminating in a rare opportunity to reach the edge of the vast Lake Gairdner salt lake. With comfortable station accommodation, shared facilities and a relaxed outback atmosphere, the weekend combines incredible riding with great company and unforgettable scenery — making it one of the most unique rides on the SXS Club calendar.

Friday

  • Event opens 12:00pm

  • Arrive at Mt Ive Station

  • Sign in with event coordinators before unloading

  • Settle into accommodation / camp

  • Social evening with club members

Saturday

  • Full-day organised trail ride

  • Riding conducted in one large group

  • Lead and sweep vehicles assigned

  • Ride through station tracks to the edge of Lake Gairdner

  • Evening social at the station

Sunday

  • Pack up and depart

  • Permit ends 12:00pm Sunday

  • No organised riding on Sunday

APPROVED SXS VEHICLES

The clubs determination of a SxS vehicle is any SxS, UTV and Side-by-Side vehicle from the following list of accepted manufacturers:

  • Can-Am

  • Polaris

  • Yamaha

  • Honda

  • Kawasaki

  • CF Moto

  • Segway

  • Artict Cat

  • John Deere

  • Kubota

For all other SXS vehicles not listed, it must be first approved by the executive committee and added to the accepted manufacturers list. This is to ensure compliance with the clubs insurance policy.
